I love my Nutcrackers. I wish I had more, ooh maybe I could start a collection.
Replaced ornament hooks with red ribbon to add color!
I LOVE this time of the year!
Can my dining table stay like this forever?!

I snuck in a few Christmas decorations into the man cave. The darling husband loves it!

Red balls, cones and garland from Nordstrom's visual department. circa 2005
Welcome to my Holiday Home Tour! This will be our second Christmas in this home. I'm still into my Lodge Luxe theme from last year with the mix of burlap and sparkle, along with pops of red. Last year, I went with real garland over our staircase banister and our fireplace mantel. Although the smell is wonderful, I can't stand the pine needles everywhere. So no garland over the case, just a simple detail of the floral pick and burlap ribbon.
I used gift tags to label our stockings. I used my snowflake place card holders as stands for Christmas photo cards. I turned my cake dome into a giant snow globe with my lovely chocolate peppermint (gingerbread) house, a far cry from last year's wimpy gingerbread one-dimensional village. I went to Lowe's and purchased $6 poinsettias to add a little holiday cheer in areas of my home. I bought Christmas pillows for the first time.
Most of my decor I've had for years and have simply repurposed them in different areas. My fake tree is nine years old. I think its time for a new one, a bigger and taller one. And that didn't come from me, but Brian. That's the spirit honey! I love my Pottery Barn Christmas plates that I got 50% off about seven years ago the day before Christmas.
And I still have a little bit of Holiday trimmings from Nordstrom. I still remember it to this day. The holiday decor from 2005 had been up three seasons and it was time for the visual merchandising department to get rid of it all. I bought most of it! Sadly most of the decor stayed in our storage unit every year, I didn't want it to look like Christmas threw up in our apartment and then condo. All along I was hoping for that someday big house. I got the house, but we got rid of the holiday decor about a year or two before we moved in. Bummer!
Thank you for stopping by! From My Home to Yours, Merry Christmas!
