MITCH ALBOM'S QUOTABLE MOMENTS {from Beauty of Life benefiting Hospice Austin}

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Hospice Austin's Annual Beauty of Life Luncheon. The guest speaker was Mitch Albom, an American best-selling author, journalist, screenwriter, dramatist, radio and television broadcaster and musician. His books have sold over 35 million copies around the world, most known for Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven. He was absolutely incredible, simply moving. When he was through speaking, there were tears in the audience. You could tell his speech touched each and everyone in attendance in some way, including me.

{from Beauty of Life benefiting Hospice Austin 10.9.14}

"We forget, people, who make us the kind of people who can have that kind of success, we forget our teachers...don't forget your teachers"

"Giving is living"

"Taking never makes you feel alive"

About 911 - "The people who were caught in those burning buildings or on those planes who managed to get a hold of cellphones, was an astounding human a person whether they were rich or poor, male or female, old or young, black or white, American or a person their messages were the same...they called their family or loved ones and they said, I called to tell you I love that final terrible moment, what made them feel alive was giving out their love to someone"

"Let it go"

"Forgive everyone, everything, everything...including yourself"

"You talk, I'll listen."

"If you lead your life...with people, making time for people, giving of yourself with people, sharing with people, helping people, then when you are gone, you are not one hundred percent gone. You live on, inside the heads and hearts of everyone you touch"

"You must invest in those relationships while you're here, if you expect them to go on"

"Follow your heart"
